Enerven has been appointed to design and construct two new 132kV switchbays, along with approximately 900m of 132kV underground cable and fibre, connecting the existing Transgrid 132kV Tomago Substation to the AGL Tomago BESS substation, facilitating the reliable transmission of electricity.

Enerven had been appointed by ElectraNet to construct a specialised, high-voltage emergency bypass infrastructure network across the Spencer Gulf. The project involves the critical reconfiguration, structural upgrade, and stringing of two de-energised 132kV marine feeder lines, adapting them to temporarily operate as an alternative, highly reliable 275kV power supply corridor for the Eyre Peninsula.

When a 275kV transmission tower supplying BHP's Olympic Dam operation was damaged during a storm event in October 2024, our teams needed to replace the structure while keeping power flowing to one of Australia's most critical industrial sites.

Enerven has been appointed to deliver the design and construction services for the Hallett Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a large-scale grid connected battery project in South Australia’s Mid North. With a total capacity of 50 MW / 245 MWh battery, the Hallett BESS is supporting renewable energy deployment and grid stability in Australia.

Enerven completed a full on-site refurbishment, including the removal of all top-mounted transformer accessories for inspection and complete gasket replacement.

Enerven has successfully delivered the design, construction, and commissioning of a new greenfield 275 kV substation in the Eyre Peninsula region of South Australia, approximately 6 km from Whyalla, along with approximately 9 km of 275 kV dual-circuit transmission lines.

Enerven has been appointed by ElectraNet, on behalf of Pacific Blue, to deliver the design and construction of the new 132 kV Clements Gap North Substation, including associated transmission line modifications and remote end works at Redhill Substation.

Enerven has been appointed to connect two 120 MW BESS facilities, Summerfield BESS1 and BESS2 to ElectraNet’s network, including design, supply, and construction of a new greenfield 275kV Tepko substation adjacent to the established BESS facilities, augmentation of the Tungkillo substation, and adding 17km of new 275kV transmission line using the existing towers.

Enerven has been appointed to design, construct, and commission a new 500/33 kV substation at the LightsourceBP’s Goulburn River Solar Farm, in the Upper Hunter region of NSW. The substation will form a key part of one of the state’s largest renewable developments, enabling the delivery of clean, reliable energy to the NSW electricity grid.

Enerven successfully delivered the 330kV switching station for the grid connection of the 350 MW Culcairn Solar Farm project north of Albury, facilitating the integration of renewable energy into the New South Wales electricity network.

As the Balance of Plant (BoP) contractor, Enerven proudly delivered the critical electrical works for the Bungama BESS. Located just out of Port Pirie, this innovative project will deliver 150MW/300MWh of energy storage capacity, enhancing grid stability and supporting the integration of renewable energy into South Australia’s power network.

Enerven has delivered the design and construction of the critical high-voltage grid connection works linking the Liddell BESS to the 330 kV Transgrid network, including a new 330k BESS Substation, 330kV transmission line and the augmentation of an existing 330kV switch bay at Liddell to facilitate the grid connectivity of the Liddell BESS.

Enerven has been appointed to construct the Liddell Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a 500MW, two-hour duration grid-scale battery located at the site of the former Liddell Power Station in New South Wales. This project is a critical part of the Hunter Energy Hub, marking a significant step in Australia’s renewable energy transition.

Enerven was appointed by Transgrid NSW to design and construct a 330/33kV substation, 330V Transmission line and 33kV switchbay at Eraring Substation to facilitate the connection of the BESS.

Enerven has been chosen to design and construct all four stages of Origin Energy’s Eraring Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a project set to become the largest battery energy storage system in the Southern Hemisphere. With a total capacity of 700MW/2,800MWh, the Eraring BESS is a cornerstone of Australia’s renewable energy transition and grid stability efforts.

Enerven delivered an innovative solution to perform overdue transformer maintenance at ElectraNet’s Back Callington and Kanmantoo substations, overcoming seasonal challenges and ensuring uninterrupted power supply to customers.

Enerven was appointed by ElectraNet to deliver critical transmission infrastructure for the Goyder South Wind Farm, facilitating the integration of renewable energy into South Australia’s electricity network.

Enerven successfully delivered the Loss of Power Risk Remediation project at BHP’s Olympic Dam, ensuring the site’s ongoing power reliability by replacing aging infrastructure with modern, high-capacity transformers and associated systems.

Enerven was the delivery partner for Wärtsilä Energy's 250MW Torrens Island grid-scale battery project for AGL Australia.

Enerven partnered with SA Water to deliver Solar PV and Energy Storage infrastructure as part of this program to enable SA Water to keep water service charges as low and stable as possible for their customers.

Nexif Energy constructed a 154MW gas turbine peaking power plant located near Snapper Point at Outer Harbour on the Lefevre Peninsula about 22km north-west of Adelaide, South Australia. Enerven was ElectraNet’s Principal Contractor to construct the network connection assets connecting the plant to ElectraNet’s transmission network, known as the Snapper Point connection project.

The project involved the design, construction, and commissioning of synchronous condensers at Robertstown Substation to enhance system strength and support South Australia’s renewable energy transition.

Enerven delivered critical upgrades to a 275kV transmission line, utilising bare hand live line techniques to ensure minimal disruption while reinforcing ElectraNet’s transmission network for greater resilience.

Enerven and ElectraNet have renewed their long-standing infrastructure maintenance and emergency response partnership, signing a new agreement that will continue the relationship for an initial five-year term. The agreement covers the maintenance of ElectraNet’s transmission network and emergency response services, helping ensure the reliable supply of electricity to communities and industries across South Australia.
