The opportunity

The Culcairn Solar Farm project is a landmark renewable energy project that demonstrates Enerven’s capability in complex grid infrastructure with the end-to-end execution of a 330 kV interconnection.

Neon’s Culcairn Solar Farm project officially entered commissioning in mid‑2025. The 350 MW (440 MWp) solar energy project has energy output sufficient to power approximately 155,000 to 160,000 homes annually via renewable generation.

Enerven’s scope covered the full lifecycle of works, including the design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the switching station and interconnection structures linking the Culcairn Solar Farm to the existing 330 kV TL6Y transmission line. The project was delivered in stages, commencing with civil design for early works, followed by civil construction, high-voltage plant installation, and ultimately the commissioning of the completed assets.
