Enerven is proud to deliver the early works for the Templers Creek Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Facility in South Australia.

Enerven is working with Tesla Motors Australia Pty Ltd, the prime contractor for this landmark project. The Templers Creek BESS is designed to generate up to 200MW from 800MWh of energy storage and will connect to ElectraNet’s Templers Creek 275kV Substation for Origin, the Principal.

“Securing the early works contract is a significant achievement for Enerven,”

said Rod Kiddy, Program Manager, Renewables. “This project showcases our expertise in delivering complex energy infrastructure projects, and our commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions.”

This critical phase involves:

  • site investigations to understand ground conditions and ensure compliance with environmental requirements
  • development of concept designs and preliminary reports and studies to refine project specifications
  • preparation of management plans for safety, quality, and efficiency
  • site establishment and bulk civil works to ready the site for construction
  • supporting the procurement process to ensure alignment with project needs.

“We’re excited to be part of a project that reinforces South Australia’s leadership in renewable energy,” Rod added.

“Enerven is now actively pursuing the Balance of Plant contract, which would allow us to continue contributing to this innovative energy initiative.”
